A Step-by-Step Guide for a Happy and House-Trained Puppy
Potty training a new puppy is an important step in ensuring a well-behaved and happy companion. Here are some easy steps to get started:
- Establish a routine
Puppies thrive on routine, so establish a regular feeding and potty schedule. Take your puppy out first thing in the morning, after eating or drinking, and before bedtime. - Choose a designated potty area
Choose an area outside where you would like your puppy to do their business. Take them to this area consistently and use a command such as “go potty” to help them associate the area with going to the bathroom. - Supervise your puppy
